Ok I installed a JDM CTR lsd into our Project Integra that uses a USDM GSR tranny.

I discovered that the Speedo and Odometer now do NOT function. After many tendious hours diagnosing the problem, I've discovered that the USDM LSD (and stock open diff) has this VSS gear on the differential housing:

I don't have a pic of the CTR LSD, however freom what I can remember, the CTR unit DID NOT have this VSS gear on the housing. Therefore the Integra VSS (Vehicle speed sensor) does not spin when the car is in motion.

Now the Speedo and Odo do no function at all unless we swap back the stock diff or aftermarket LSD to replace the CTR unit.

Does anyone know if there is way to use the CTR LSD on a USDM intregra transmission so that the speedo and odo will function??

    Thanks.

They function the same... however, you MUST swap the gear over to the new differential. This is NOT necessarily included... especially if you bought it used.

You simply press (do it gently because they are fragile) the speedo gear off the original diff and then press it onto the new diff.

    Good luck
